About Me

I have a very long history with music that has seen me go from a professional performer to a Post Production Sound Engineer.

Like most when I was little I learnt how to play piano. But my goal was to be like Lisa Simpsons, the starfish haired yellow saxophonist. So I picked up the Alto Sax when I was about 8 years old. I was a little sad to find out the she played the Baritone Sax but that did not stop me.

I played in all sorts of big bands and school bands - including once performing at Carole by the Sea.

I eventually went on to perform with the Sydney Youth Orchestra when I was in High School and obtain a music scholarship to my high school.

After graduating and taking a year off, I began to study my Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts. 

In 2018 I fell and badly damaged my hand which put a quick end to my major instrument being the saxophone. While I can still play I am not at the level I once had and my hand stamina is very low.

However, I picked myself up I took singing lessons and continued my degrees. When it came time to pick a Major stream for my degree I decided to check on the Sonic Arts program and loved it. So I found a new passion in Sound Post Production.

In 2021 I completed my Honours Thesis on Auditory Spatial Awareness and graduated in May 2022.

At the beginning of 2022 I started work at Unison Sound which is situated in DIsney Studios (then Fox Studios) in Moore Park. Working in FIlm and TV post production was not something I knew was possible. I am very grateful for all the opportunities I've had and to work in a job that I actually enjoy.

So with over 15 years classical saxophone training, two degrees and performance experience in my back pocket. I am now a seasoned Post Production Sound Engineer
